Founded in 1993, Capella University is exclusively online and focuses on the needs of adult students who want a high-quality education they can pursue from any location. Capella offers graduate degree programs in the fields of business, information technology, education, human services, nursing, psychology, public administration, public health and public safety; as well as bachelor's degree programs in the fields of business, information technology, nursing, psychology, public administration and public safety. Within those areas, Capella currently offers 124 graduate and undergraduate specializations and 15 certificate programs.
As the third largest university in Minnesota, more than 31,000 students representing all 50 states and 56 countries are currently enrolled at Capella. Although they range in age from 19 to 92, most Capella students are working adults, and 82 percent are currently pursuing master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees. Capella University has built its reputation by providing quality education for working adults, and is committed to providing high-caliber academic excellence.
